Typically, hair must be a minimum length (usually around 10 inches or 25 centimeters), and it must be clean, dry, and free from chemical treatments like dyeing or perming. This ensures that each donated strand is in the best possible condition to be transformed into a wig.

Prepare for the Cut
We recommend visiting a professional stylist who is familiar with hair donation cuts. They will section the hair properly to maximize length and ensure it meets our guidelines. The hair should be tied into a ponytail or braid before cutting to keep it intact.

Cut and Send
Once your hair is cut, package it securely, following our mailing instructions on the website. You can send it to one of our regional centers closest to you for processing. Many of our donors choose to include a note or a photo with their donation, adding a personal touch to the act of giving.

Receive a Certificate of Appreciation
As a token of our gratitude, every hair donor receives a personalized certificate acknowledging their generous contribution. Additionally, many of our donors share their stories on our website, inspiring others to take part in this journey of kindness.
